Hmmm i got loads of tips but i don't know where to begin.

Ok for starters NEVER rush into a fight, staying back and taking it slow means your alot less likely to die.

As i think of more i'll post them.

I don't play a whole lot of CoD4, can't really help you there.

I could help you out there. I was quite good at CoD4 when I played it. Had a 2.50+ K/D ratio.

Well. If you're new to the game I'd say use a rapid fire weapon. Like the M4 carbine or the MP5, as even if you don't get precision shots you can still pray and spray a little in CQB.

Adding to that, make sure you know what type of weapon you have, and its rate of fire. Theres nothing worse than picking up a weapon, running into close combat and holding down the trigger to find its single shot.

Me and Tommy were like COD4 masters before he traded his in. One small peice of advice I would say is that you should always always reload after every shot, and if you are confronted during a reload whip out the pistol and smack that R1 till it's bright purple.

Also, if you're going to to use an assault rifle, steady aim is a must, also whatever the perk was for the bullets to be stronger.

You haven't played me yet. :P

Well the only difference is mine is on the 360 which is exactly the same game provided the PS3 also released the downloadable maps. So I'd be happy to add and help out to your little COD4 page.

- Cooking your grenades is a sure way to get the kill if its near the target.
- Prone stance is great for accuracy and your can make a killing of headshots.

Deep impact and steady aim will ensure two bursts from an M16 will drop a target.

Martyrdom and light machine guns are for fags and associates of fags.

Last Stand can be a nice way to pay back the jerk who killed you in the first place. If you're going to snipe, Use stopping Power and Steady Aim to make sure your first shot is the only shot you need.

Also, C4 is an effective tool when you're on the run. If you get caught in a bad spot and think you're going to have to make a last stand (not the perk), instead throw 1 or 2 packs of C4 out near where your enemies will be charging into. 99% of the time, if an enemy sees you running away, he'll do 1 of two things: rush in, or throw a grenade, and then rush in. And a well placed pack of C4 will solve both.

Also, don't be afraid to use a pistol, they are extremely effective when used right and will stop anyone in their tracks with only a few shots.
