MGS4 Street Date Break!

I'm seriously agitated by this, so many people are playing MGS4 and I have to wait because my store is not risking the fine, and not to mention I payed in Trade in Credit so I can't take the money and get it today. Plus they mostly haven't got Special Editions yet, though I have seen pictures.

Just makes me Grrr thinking of all the people who are buying it to sell it on Ebay to people like me. Just...grrr>.<

Yeah man, when I went to my EB games, we had a nice pile of 8 boxes which were the MGS4 bundle. And with it a huge 5 page notice saying DO NOT SELL BEFORE JUNE 12.

Breaking Street on games can be taken very seriously. It can result in a huge fine up to 50 thousand depending on the store (wal-mart) And it goes by the number stores that did not the company.

Another repercussion is Sony will stop selling products in those stores and seeing as Playstation stuff is kept in the back at both Zellers and Wal-Mart, I don't think it will hurt their sales to to much. Its kinda funny to me, Sony owns 30% of all EB games and Gamespots so they get front of the store all the time, but don't try to buy off Wal-mart and Zellers.

But at least I have seen MGS4, It was beautiful, we were bringing the sick into the back to touch the bundles curing them of what ever disease they had. And Wal-mart doesn't respect that, why am I reminded of the Nazi's from the Indiana Jones films, always want but never understand.>:(

Anyway it seems Wal-mart is being punished like the ignoring pricks they were and cannot sell MGS4 no more and will not be able to sell the game hence one week after release, justice for all...besides the bastard who already got it...jerks.

my local Wal-mart is already gearing up for a midnight launch. I was just there talking to my buddy about how many units they are expecting. Just in case, Gamestop decides to hand off my LE.

Sony isn't going to punish the biggest retailer in the world. It'll only hurt sales.

The Gamestops are receiving only 2 Metal Gear bundles per store; they close at 9pm and re-open at 10pm to midnite. My friend that works there told me he couldnt hold it for me, to just be there at closing & wait on the door so when it opens at 10pm I'm the 1st one to get it, how bogus is that >_>

So I'll let you guys know if I got it tonite or not =O

I hate to make you feel even worse than you already do but I think people might be standing there since long before 10pm. I'd say if you don't get it go to other places like Walmart or Target. Those stores are getting more bundles.

I had the choice to do that as well but I don’t pre-ordering & waiting for the ups guy to show up, what if I wasn’t here? >.< so I decided to wait to get it from GameStop cuz of my friend.

However, I didn’t think it was gonna be this bad where people were gonna be like freaks =O they were actually waiting there at the door to make sure no one would get it. My friend felt bad he couldnt hold one for me, he came out from the store & told me it was useless to wait, cuz the guys were there already (I gave them a dirty look, those bastards!) & one said, why dont you get the "soft" bundle which is a 40GB, I said "why don't you?" He just laughed. >_>

So we decided to just go to Walmart first thing in the morning, lol. We were there at 6:45am and let me tell you, we were the 1st ones. Hehe :P, hell ya. Then some kids were there after and I sh*t you not, we all ran to the electronics section, hahaha! Luke was there 1st since he knows the store better & knows the guys that work there. So he asked around as I was in the counter & the guy walked over to the register with the 2 bundles, I was like hell yes! That sh*t is soo mine I was sooo excited. LOL, then my card wouldn’t work, I was too hyper or something so we used his thank god he had it or else I would've been soooo upset if I couldn’t get it cuz of my frikkin credit card. But alas, it was all good, funny sh*t I tell you.

After all that drama, we even got a $100.00 gift card as a promo, "sweeeettt" <3<3<3 I already had games so I’ll spend it later with new games or something hehe ;)

We got home & hooked up that sweet PS3 *caresses it* oohhh finally, I got my beloved frikkin PS3. Been playing with it and downloading and tried some games, I am overwhelmed I had to take a quick break. Oh and ya, I even called in today, haha. My boss wasn’t too happy, but I work hard I deserve my day off so I’m here celebrating with my shiny PS3 baby!

This is obviously buying a console on a big event day with big games. Both PSP and DS I had to fight through to make sure I'd get the best bundle, one person took it too far and was booted by security. I LOL'd when I left the shop with the console. I remember the fiasco for the first launch of the 360 as well, hell its was hellist. :laugh: If I knew at the time that the first 360 fails at life I wouldn't have bought it. I'm on my second one at the moment.

My bundle's sitting in Toledo, Ohio. I'm in Michigan. Soooo close yet so far >< I'm tearing my hair out waiting for it. On top of that I already went and bought dmc4 and gta4 today and now the games are sitting in front of me..... Beckoning me.... Mocking me. OH THE PAIN! THE HORROR! THE ANTICIPATION!
