It is a sad day for those of us who enjoy movie trailers as Don LaFontaine, the king of voice overs and the narrator of countless movie trailers has died from complications of an ongoing illness. LaFontaine was 68 and though you may not know his name at first it would be impossible not to recognize his voice when we go to the movies.

Aww man. That sucks.
Pablo Francisco does good impressions of that guy.

RIP Don LaFontaine, Let's hope that all those companies don't try to use a soundboard of you for future trailers, or hire someone to try to copy your voice.

Yup, RIP. He'll be missed and I don't think that anyone will top his talent anytime soon. Really a shame though, it seems like many movie related people are passing on...Don LaFontaine, Bernie Mack, Heth Ledger, and I know there's more I just can't think of them at the moment.

I was listening to his voice right after I heard that he died and I kinda wondered if he was the one who did the trailers in Soul Caliber 3, does anyone know?
