Themed Parties?

Have you ever been to a themed party? What was the theme? What did you wear in regards to that theme? Or if given the chance what kind of themed party would you throw?


I've been to a couple. They were stupid things like "Black and White". One of my friends birthday party was themed as Gossip Girl I think? I can't remember it was something TV related I think and we had to dress up for it.

A few weeks ago I was invited to a Glowstick party and a Toga party but I was going back home that weekend so that didn't work out.

In a few weeks one of the fraternitys is throwing a Toga Party but unfortunately that weekend I'll be in Vancouver for the Apocalyptica concert(Not that I'm complaining).

Too lazy to think up some Themes that I would enjoy, I'll get to it later.

I've always wanted to go to a costume party. Not your sort of stereotypical type of party, but tasteful and less goofy, not quite Phantom of the Opera "Masquerade" class, just no clown costumes, things along those lines.

Never saw the appeal in a toga party, except for the fact that you can place a fan under a woman and get a Marlyn Monroe effect. Yeah, I suppose you could get extravagant and all, but then you just defeat the purpose of it in the first place, simply throwing something over your shoulder so you can easily slip out of it in an instant to get laid. But I digress.

The only real party I ever went to was a New Year's party, where I had a blast watching people getting hammered, ended up watching someone walk in on my ex and her boyfriend at the time having sex on his bed, and had a cute girl give me that "come hither" sort of gesture only to find out she was my old friend's fiance; nothing happened, unfortunately. :P

I'm a college student, we've thrown quite a few at out house. Nothing really creative,but here are some:

-Formal party(my favorite)
-Pajama party
-80's party
-Black and White(lol)
-Jungle
-Halloween
-Anything but clothes(rocked a cardboard box Snake-style)

Thats all I can really think of... Good times.
