Who said I wanted to receive!? Well, I guess I didn't per say, but my dog and cousin definitely did...

Well, it was a good dinner. I made that mash potatoes (many compliments >=D) and the others made the other stuff, yeah. Family came to join in on the feast, meaning my cousin, grandma, and uncle. Well, after dinner is where our story begins...

My cousin and uncle both ride street bikes and went to see close friends of the family (since those two are not locals here). On their ride back from that friend's house, my swerved off the road (which this is near mountainous terrain, one side being a wall of the mountain and there other a ditch) to miss a dark figure that popped right out from the area (deer? dog?). He did three flips (one or two of them with the motorcycle at hand) and slide down the ditch.

Now, he was lucky, even though is motorcycle wasn't. He fell off, yes, and hardly knew what had happened during the fall. But, he could get up and walk around okay (at first he was off balance, but he was walking fine now). No broken bones, no road rash. His bike had hit something hard enough to rips a lot off of it, but his helmet and jacket made it fine! Scraps on the side of the helmet and one small torn on jacket, but all he has is a sore shoulder!

Now, why is he lucky and that this spook me a bit? Well, he fell in a very lucky place. Although it was quite diagonal, the spots a few feet ahead and a few feet back from the wreck were actual drops, with many trees. He crashed where there was a bit of a drop, but more of a hill and no trees... He also dodge a power line pole... If he weren't as lucky as he was, he would either be seriously injured or even dead....

So, there would have made a memorable holiday... I'm surprised and glad for his safety in the potentially fatal situation!!! The other moment was when a drunk person was playing bowling on Wii Sports (really getting into it...) and punched one of our dogs that walked near... Caused a loud yelp, but a good thing is no bump or anything bad. Just the yelp did show sign of pain...

So, there's my thanksgiving. What a special one... Scary and emotional... But either way, something was on our side! Also, anyone wanting to talk with me, I've only been on once or maybe twice a day for the last three. Family comes up to visit, it means I'm preoccupied!

That's pretty wild, glad to hear he's alright.

I expected this place to be pretty dead during the american thanksgiving, no worries about inactivity.

That's because the world doesn't revolve around America :)

Thanks :) I tried to stay active as much as I could and gave some posts, but the staff did a great job at keeping the peace. As of now, I'm looking into getting more features for PSB, but feel 3.7 might just do it for us!

If the rest of the world can find a better way to celebrate the genocide of indigenous peoples with binge eating and shopping I've yet to see it. :monster:

har har! It was about acting like friends for dinner, until the next night when we ate them >=D Generally, it is about a free holiday and excuse to pig on stuff.

I always liked that about America. Then they lie and tell the kids it was about eating turkey and wearing funny clothes.

What's even worse about that is that it's on every subject that they add propoganda. :(
It's just good if you realize that they're doing that.

But most don't ;)

I just noticed your location says Kansas City, KS. I lived in Leavenworth, KS for a year. The Army Base, not the prison. :)

Well I just moved here from Dallas not a year and a half ago and this entire time of living here has been like a hell on Earth to me. At least I'll be leaving in a year or so.
And ya I know where you lived, I passed throught there once when going to Nebraska.

Yeah, Kansas isn't the most attractive place to live in this country.

We should try to keep this on topic. But I agree that Kansas is boring... Middle of Nowhere is an understatement imho.

Anyways, The bike was recovered and still ran. Frame and wheels are fine, just gotta get a new shell. the bike was driven back to their home in Sacramento and has ended the vacation (not prematurely though).

I'm back, as said, so hello great people!
