It's been up for ooooooohhh what a day now..so I was wondering what do you guys think about it?
I can't say I liked it I love the old DMC games but I don't know, this game doesn't really seem like a step forward. The demo didn't offer much challenge and while the devil bringer thing is cool I can see the novelty of that thing waring off quite quickly. I'd give it a 4/10 and I may purchase the game a few months after release since it'll be quite cheap then.

I'm a massive fan of the DMC and yeah originally I thought it was just the same old, same old; heck they even removed the fighting style feature.
But I really liked the demo, sure it was a bit easy but I loved the devil bringer and just hope there's more that you can do with it. It's made me look forward to the game and I think I will pick it up, maybe not on release but eventually.
I have I'll give it about a 6.5/10 just because that battle against Berial was fun.

PS3, Off of the PSNetwork. You have to download it and install onto the PS3's HD. I have it and I love it. I'm buying it when it comes out, yes it sucks that they took out the battle styles.. but who knows.. We only played Nero.. Dante might have it still? I can't wait and the background imagery was excellent. I actually let the beginning screen play for a bit to take in the full view of that areas graphics. they were done very well and reminded me of the Chapel in the first game when you go to get the Pride of Lions tablet. It was only a sneek peak, though. just a Trial demo. I bet they might come out with something a bit more? but if the release date is the 5th.. there might not be. Either way... I can't wait.
Mission #1 7.5/10 (due to learning on what and how things work. could have used a bit more different enemies though to fight.)
Mission #2 9/10 I died twice on Berial... and the whole back talk between him and Nero was almost reminiscent with Dante and Beowulf. (In other words.. I lawled so hard at it.)

I love the demo. The action is still there, the baddies are still a little challenging, and the graphics are superb.
However, the jumping feels a bit cartoonish. And Nero's speed is pretty damn slow until he picks up speed with his little dash.
But knowing that this is pretty much the beginning of the game still gives me hope that I'll still be able to do the ninja-like stuff later during the game. =)

Devil May Cry 2 - Awful
Devil May Cry 3 - Awesome

hmmm.. I liked #2 better than #1... To each their own I always say... But #3 is still my favorite.

i personally hated it... this game is gonna be a pass for me
The first game was so much fun.
I tried the demo for the 4th game when it came out.
Man, what a letdown. It's horrible, if I may say so.
