Started using Chrome and it's not so bad. Only reason I'm keeping Firefox is because of the SkipScreen addon for downloading. There isn't much plugins/addons for Chrome atm is there?

There actually is a fairly decent sized community of add-ons for Chrome, afaik, since it's also an open-source browser. That said, I pretty much don't ever bother using anything more than the bare-bones browser myself, so I don't know much about it.

you know it's probably a disguised ad bot right? We've had three people register that have had almost the exact same posts in all three of the posts that each have made. I've banned one as their saying in their sig turned into a link... a very bad link... These things are starting to get smart.

The three of you (as of this post) that decided to use IE will be damned. To what? i don't even think an explanation is worthy to IE users, and any need to address one would further answer why IE users are damned.
On behalf of webmasters around the globe, **** you IE users.

Not so much programming stands than technology standards. Reason IE gets so much shit, other than the other people that just join on the bandwagon, is because the browser lacks support for the standard CSS library, as well as many other issues such as Javascript/etc. It renders pages differently, at times, because of these issues of not being up-to-date. I mean, CSS2 has been standard for a long time now, since the time of IE6/7, and even today, IE8 doesn't fully support it when the other browsers have for years now. The real hatred is that work around to make IE play correctly and up to par with the other browsers is more trivial work, and purely for IE needs. And being that IE is still the leader of the pack, in terms of popularity only of course, it's a priority to ensure sites work in it. And for that, **** you IE users for giving us a hell.

One thing I was taught in web design: if it works with IE, it'll work with anything

Though that's not actualyl true, hence why there are separate stylesheets purely for IE6. Many people just have to do work arounds for IE in general, and IE lacks web standards. Its Acid3 score is below 55/100, which only IE9 has a 55 score, with IE 8 at around 20ish/100 and IE7 at 9/100. Firefox and essentially every other browser meets a 90+/100 (Chrome is at 98/100). (Acid3 is a browser test on internet standards, thus a low score means they lack the standards/rules of web rendering/handling - http://acid3.acidtests.org/) In other words, IE isn't strict on rules, it is the opposite. It lacks rules and standards, so if it does work on IE, it doesn't mean it'll work on other BETTER browsers.
