Cool Britania!

![]() So I just finished watching the VOICES DVD for the first time and I have to say its got to be the best Square Enix movie I’ve seen by far. It features ALL of the original voices and musicians (the actual Prima Vista Philharmonic Orchestra) to every Final Fantasy from XII down: even the Black Mages make a surprise appearance. I’ve always said seeing these songs played live by any other orchestra is like seeing a cover band and it was true. Seeing Nobuo Uematsu have such a large part in the whole thing made it all feel very special and authentic and it was truly amazing how faithful the songs were played (minus a couple of rearrangements). Although it’s only out in Japan it’s definitely worth trying to get hold of for any fan of FF or live music. High points of the DVD for me had to be the whole grand opening and the FF X tracks were some of the best performed.

I absolutely love this DVD (thankies for getting it for me
) It's just breathtaking, srsly. Amazing performance by them and as is expected since they’re all the original musicians and singers for all the Final Fantasies thus far. Everything that Nobou composed from the beginning to end. I was in utter awe when I heard the whole performance. Even though I witnessed these songs live and with Nobou Uematsu almost next to me when he came to Chicago two years ago; this concert tops it because is themselves playing and singing their own songs. The beginning of the DVD is the best of course Liberi Fatali is the best opening song ever; so powerful that it still gives me chills every time I hear it. Fisherman’s Horizon (from FFVIII) was just breathtaking. And of course One Winged Angel was fantastic; best ending song to give the concert the perfect closure. All the songs were done beautifully; they played the best two songs of each FF. They even had the original opera singers for the FFVI “Opera Scene” song, can you believe it? Now that shocked the hell out of me =O For all FF freaks that must have this for their collection would absolutely enjoy this DVD, it’s a must have. The only thing is that it is in Japanese with no English subtitles so you can’t understand Nobou, the “Behind the scenes” and extras the DVD has ![]()
