Default I Am Legend

I watched this movie yesterday and have to admit, I liked it a lot more than I thought. I don't really know why the critics are giving it such low scores? Will does give a strong performance in the movie and is starting to be one of my fav. actors.
It's the type of movie where you won't like it if you question everything. If you watch it, just sit back and enjoy the movie, rather than find someway to make the movie look dumb like how all the critics are doing.
Overall, it's a 4/5 for me. Anyone else seen it?

Wrong section.

Anyways, it's on the list to see in the next week or so. So far I've heard good things all around. I didn't liek the first trailers, but as time went on they got better.

It doesn't look good, but I've heard good things about it. I'll probably check it out when it's on dvd.

It's a decent remake of the Omega Man. Smith did a decent role as the lone survivor/scientist. That's about it.

Saw it tonight with my girl after we did Universal, we enjoyed it quite a bit. Will Smith did a really good job in his role playing through the series of emotions, that was the real saving grace for me. Could it have been better? Yeah, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Was good entertainment for an hour and 45 minutes or whatever it was.

Did they change much from the original book?

well instead of vampires or guys who spilled flour all over themselves you had a disease infecting people killing most and turning others into dark stalkers, the people who can only come out at night (like in the 70's version) but act more like beasts then humans. Relatively the same ending from the 70's version.

It's one of those movies that I wouldn't go into it expecting it to be true to the book. Just gotta take it for what it is. :/

I thought it was a decent movie. My boyfriend and I went to the late show last night. I had no idea it was based off of a book, I guess I'm just ignorant. How does it stray from the book?

From what I hear, a lot. In fact, it ends up pretty much the opposite from the book, which was expected I suppose.

Yeah... the whole theater started crying. It was kind of a surreal experience. I've never seen a crowd react that way in a movie like that.
