Far Cry 2 announced for PS3

Late last night, when most of the world slept in their beds, Ubisoft quietly announced that the sequel to one of its greatest PC shooters is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was scheduled for PC in March, but now that other formats have been announced, we may be seeing a slight delay in the games release. Q3-4 2008 is looking extremely likely.

The game is set in Africa, where you can expect to find all of the mechanics and game implementations of the original blockbuster, all in a neat BluRay extravaganza. It will be interesting to see what Ubisoft do with the franchise for home console versions of the mouse and keyboard setup.
