14.4 Million PS3s Sold, $51 Million Profit

Sony has announced the details of its fiscal report today; according to the report around 1.56 million PS3s were sold in the first quarter of 2008 bringing the total tally to 14.4 million – in comparison just 700,000 PS3's were sold in Q1 of last year.

Sony's gaming division made a profit of 51 million dollars for the quarter ending 30 June 2008.
