A new box for Snake to hide In

This isn't your normal run of the mill box. Sony has recently announced plans for a new retail version of the Playstation 3 platform. The new SKU will feature the 80 GB PS3, the new, or old however you choose to interpret, DualShock 3 control(now with rumble), and last and absolutely not least, Metal Gear Solid 4. You read that right. Snake is in the box. Best of all is the new SKU's price point, just $499.

That is a serious deal, and one which will enable to Sony to fully capatalise on the upcoming exclusive. Remember, those late to the stage DualShock 3 controllers cost $54.99, and the price of the game will likely roll in at the current standard of $60. Take those two alone and that is $120 of savings. Do the math and this makes your lovely PS3, sit at the cost of $280. That is almost as cheap as a Nintendo Wii, but you get a hell of a lot more bang for your 30 extra bucks. Now's the time for all of those people who don't currently own a PS3 to get one.
