Amazon cuts US PS3 bundle price

It seems the rumors of a PlayStation 3 price cut are just too strong. Sony's CEO coming out and denying a price cut not only isn't enough to stop the rumors from spreading but Amazon.com has gotten ahead of the game by lowering the price of the American 160 GB PS3 bundle by fifty dollars.
Now for $449.99, gamers can pick up the 160 GB model of the PS3 that comes with a copy of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. A reason for the price cut could be the fact that Gamescom will be taking place in two weeks and Sony is expected to announce an official price at the event. Also, for now the price cut is only for American gamers. The rest of the world will have to wait two weeks for Sony to make their announcement. Source: gamesindustry.biz
