America to get 40GB White PS3

There's no release date as of yet, but Sony definitely intend to release a 40GB ceramic white PS3 for the North American region. The FCC (Federal Communications Commission), a government agency responsible for regulating interstate and international communications, displays some filings on their website which prove this.

Sony say that to "avoid premature release of sensitive information prior to marketing or release of this product to the public", this file has been hidden from the public since October. This could mean that the project is well under way. The FCC even released some photographs of a PS3 rig they're using to test the product with.
