Aquanaut's Holiday announced

Aquanaut's Holiday had been announced for the PS3. Shown for the first time last year at the Tokyo Game Show as Aqua, the game has undergone a title change and is now confirmed to be a PS3 exclusive title.

While specific details for the game are unclear, its likely it will follow in the footsteps of the 1995 Aquanaut's Holday for the PlayStation. Aquanaut's Holiday will drop the player in the wet suit of a marine explorer who searches the ocean for unexplored ruins, treasure, and rare forms of ocean life. The game seems to be the latest in Sony's line of relaxation and exploration games, which also include Afrika, Shiki-Tei, and Flower.

The game is due out in Japan on September 25, 2008. A western release is still up in the air at this point. Check out the title's homepage and trailer here.
