BioShock 2 officialy announced
Take-Two has confirmed that BioShock 2 is in development, and is scheduled for a release in Q4 2009. No formats have been revealed so far...
The sequel to one of 2007's greatest games, BioShock, is currently in development and has a tentative release window of Q4 2009. Although the original title was an X360 exclusive, selling over two million copies worldwide, the decision to hand development duties over to 2K Marin, a new Take-Two subsidiary in Boston Australia, means that Ken Levine has been freed up to work on other, more eloborate IPs for the company. He will still be offering concept and design advice however to the new team, working closely alongside whilst contributing his own touches that made the original such a stellar gaming experience.
"A lot of the work will be done at 2K Marin, but that's not to say Ken is not involved. He's critical to BioShock," said Take-Two.
Although the PS3 would be an ideal platform in which to launch such a title due to the adult orientated content found in the original, no platform has been revealed as of yet, and so we are only left to wonder if us PlayStation owners will be treated to the next episode in the 'unannounced' trilogy, hinted at from last year's E4All.
