Burnout Paradise expansion to come very soon

Those who were really hyped about Burnout Paradise enough to scour the Internet for juicy details likely stumbled upon a map showing the game's layout. It was vast and impressive, however when the demo came out it became apparent that a significant portion of the city was missing. Most of the deleted road was in the South, but the more notable area was the island to the East, which looked as if it was an airport. The assumption was that these places were removed for performance or gameplay reasons, but we can now reveal that they will be unveiled as downloadable content, along with extra cars.
Alex Ward of Criterion games has said:
"This bridge leads to what we reveal today to be THE FIRST in a SERIES of Islands adding to Paradise City, EACH OFFERING A DIFFERENT TYPE OF GAMEPLAY"
The first DLC will be of the aforementioned East island, with a car called "Dust Storm". There are no details on the cost of these expansion packs (if there is any fee a all) but we definitely look forward to seeing this massive game on an even bigger scale.
