Do these images reveal what's in store for 2.40?
There's been lots of discussion regarding firmware 2.40. In game music, messaging and trophies.
Now though, is the first time we've ever seen how these trophies will be implemented. Or is it?
Take a look at this first image, leaked to
PS3 Fanboy by someone calling themselves "The Patriots":

That is supposedly the new "Gamercard," a device used for tracking the trophies you've earned in from games. As you can see trophies are broken down into 4 categories (bronze, silver, gold and platinum) with each (I'm assuming) representing a higher level of challenge to obtain than the one before it.
As you can also see from the picture, there are two other tabs on the Gamercard, one of which:

Is the information page.
Also sent to
PS3 Fanboy by tipster "Gassy Snake," claiming "The Patriots" image was genuine.
As you can see from this picture, the information page is designed to show the users PSN name, his level and how many trophies he's earned. There's also room for what is assumed to be a comment of some sort.
According to "Gassy Snake," as the user gets more trophies, his level increases, but as he levels up more, he requires more trophies to do so. It all sounds very RPG to me, seeming that differant levels of trophies are worth different amounts of experience. He also states that you can view others Gamecards while in game, as well as using most other features on the XMB.
I personally can't wait for 2.40
However, nothing in this article is fact (aside from me not being able to wait.) It should all be taken with a grain of salt. Actually, eat the whole shaker just to be sure.
As soon as we hear information regarding 2.40 (and as soon as we can recover from it's eventual release) we'll let you know.
Please note, PS Beyond does in no way condone eating a whole salt shaker full of salt. Anyone doing so does this at their own risk.
