Famitsu: Japan to get three Metal Gear Solid 4 versions
You’ve got to be envious of the Japanese sometimes. They get cool gadgets (who doesn’t want a torch that can shine for nine miles and cook a dog?!) but mainly, we’re upset because the region always seems to have obscure games that never see release over here. Right now, though, we’re annoyed because according to Japanese publication Famitsu, Konami is releasing three versions of Metal Gear Solid 4 there.
The first pack will include MGS 4 and Metal Gear Online. The second will be a special edition box set containing MGS 4, MGS Online, and a Blu-ray disc with every trailer released to date as well as bonus making of footage. The premium pack comes with a special PS3. That’s right readers, the game comes with a PS3, not the PS3 with the game!
According to Famitsu, the special PS3 isn’t the one North America is getting with an 80GB hard drive and DualShock 3 controller. No sir, it’s apparently different in that it has a special design and possibly a different colour, which couldn’t be revealed. Konami is going to be releasing further details in late March apparently. Can you feel the excitement? The answer we’re looking for is yes!
Marvellous G: YES! I CAN FEEL IT!
Hopefully this might happen here, or we could at least get a special collector's edition or summat. It took aaaagggeeesss for Subsistence to get here after Japan, though, so there's still hope.
