GC ’08: Heavy Rain In-Game Footage

Towards the end of Sony’s conference, world exclusive in-game footage of Heavy Rain was shown. The battle system appears to work with a sequence of button presses corresponding with what appears on the screen – take a look for yourself.

Tom: Indigo Prophecy worked pretty much the same way. I'm hoping that this isn't how its done, its okay for a little while but the button pressing doesn't really give any freedom of choice in the matter, it ends up just being a really complicated game of Simon Says.

ExcelBeyond: Looks like its going the Indigo route with the action sequences, using QTE-type button inputs. I gotta say, I was hoping they would go the traditional action route like they did with Omikron, but I loved Indigo so I don't think this will hamper my experience much.
