In-Game XMB NOT supported in all games

While playing a friend today online on Everybody's Golf: World Tour (Hot Shots Golf in the US), i recieved a message so pressed the PS button to bring up the XMB, however was suprised to see the old screen come up. While it isn't a major problem it seems odd that its supported during offline play, but not online. I will also note that this is the only game in my collection which doesn't support it. SCEE have been contacted for a comment.
