In-game XMB timeframe hinted at

Sony Computer Entertainment UK Managing Director Ray Maguire is in good spirits about the efforts made by retailers to establish the PS3 in Britain, where the console recently topped one million sales. “Achieving one million PS3 sales faster that both PSone and PlayStation 2 is even more gratifying considering PS3 is a premium product introduced at a premium price” he said, speaking to trade publication MCV UK.

He added “Our momentum will continue with the introduction of in-game communication in the summer, firmware update 2.4 and the strongest line-up of games through our third-party partners and our own studios” dropping a hint that we could be using the XMB during games by the summer. Woo hoo!
