John Mayer: Guitar Hero fans are 'untalented pretenders'

Speaking to Entertainment Wise American Singer John Mayer calls Guitar Hero Players "Untalented Pretenders":

"it makes it easy for untalented people to pretend they are good at playing the instrument".

He went on to say

"Guitar Hero was devised to bring the guitar-playing experience to the masses without them having to put anything into it"

Claiming that no game could ever match the enjoyment of playing a real guitar.

While you could argue that maybe he's going a step too far and forgeting that it is 'just a game'. Its comments do suggest that maybe he thinks Guitar Hero and simalar games are a threat to actual bands.

SamStrife: Woah woah woah. I read the article, and he said nothing of the sort. this was a website that spun his words and made up quotes.

The Dark Messenger: How can you not know who John Mayer is? He has released some sweet music i'll have you know. Anyway he does raise a point however I only ever saw Guitar Hero as an entetainment game not a real musical instrument, geez I even play Guitar, the game never stopped me playing it.
