Konami: No chance of MGS4 breaking its street date

While this will come as a slight disapointment to some people desperate to get there hands on this title and can't wait the remaining 7 days. But a Konami representative has confirmed to MCV that they have a signed agreement with retailers to ensure they honour the June 12th release date.

UK Konami General Manager Pete Stone stated:

"We pride ourselves on working closely with retailers and have a continuation of the singed agreement system we used so successfully before, " said Stone. "All major retailers are supplying written agreements that they will honour the street date no matter what, making it a level playing field across the board. We all want the game to be a huge success, and for everyone to benefit from this release"

However he did also go on to confirm that there will be plenty of stock for this title at retailers, so getting your hands on one won't be a problem

"With demand for MGS4 at such a high level, I am delighted to confirm that we are continually manufacturing stock to meet the phenomenal demand. We want to make sure that everyone gets a good allocation of what is the key PS3 title of the year," stated Stone.
