LittleBigPlanet 2 in development?

BBC Online recently ran an article on British game developers, highlighting British studios that have worked on various 2008 blockbusters, like GTA4, Fable 2, and LittleBigPlanet. The article is a good read, but one thing in particular stands out. In regards to LittleBigPlanet, the BBC mentions that "Even before the game has hit the shops, the team[Media Molecule] are already at work on a sequel".

The news that Media Molecule wanted to do a sequel is nothing new. Not too long ago, Media Molecule did speak a bit about other ideas they had for LittleBigPlanet, such as a FPS-style LBP. Now, though, it seems the sequel may be coming a big sooner then expected.
