Media Molecule will be offering a special Team ICO pack for LittleBigPlanet this Thursday, paying homage to brilliant PS2 games ICO and Shadow of the Colossus.
A horned ICO costume and simple Yorda dress are the only contents revealed on the Mm website, but we're promised a look at the Shadow of the Colossus outfits very shortly.
The Team ICO pack arrives just after Sony unveiled The Last Guardian - Fumito Ueda and Team ICO's next PlayStation exclusive title - at E3 last week....

Sony have just announced several key PSP titles for 2009 via press release from SCEA’s annual Destination PlayStation conference.
The key titles are PSP versions of LittleBigPlanet, Assassin's Creed, and Motorstorm Arctic Edge (also coming to PS2).
50 million PSPs have been sold to consumers, and these PSP titles will act as trojan horses for Sony, promoting the next-gen PS3 equivalents of the games to PSP owners, as well as encourage PS3-only owners to invest their money in a PSP....

You wouldn't expect it, but it's possible that LittleBigPlanet may help special needs children to communicate with others, especially autistic children, if a recent story is to be believed.

The Game Developers Conference 2009 has just added four extra sessions looking at the development of PlayStation 3 exclusive LittleBigPlanet. Each session will focus on a different aspect of the game from the art and physics to the user generated content aspect of the game.
The Game Developers Conference 2009 will take place in San Francisco between 23-27 March.
It's nice to see that at least developers appreciate the achievements of LittleBigPlanet....

LittleBigPlanet is a big exclusive for Sony. Following impressive sales figures over the holiday period, the month of January draws to a close with news that the invent-‘em-up not only topped the PlayStation Store add-on chart, but also threw the competition to the ground!
There’s no surprise here, but the Metal Gear Solid level kit was the most purchased add-on this month, followed by the costume kit and Solid Snake costume....

Kaz Hirai, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, announced at the Sony CES press conference that LittleBigPlanet has sold a total 1.3 million worldwide so far. The game is also very rich in user content, boasting an impressive 300,000 levels created by other users, equating to approximately 2 years worth of gameplay. It is important to note that the game is continuing to sell very well, and that 1.3 million is very impressive for a brand new IP and for a first time development from a tiny studio such as Media Molecule....

Here's a little known fact: Despite producing one of Sony's most hyped titles of the year, LittleBigPlanet, Media Molecule actually has no affiliation with them outside of that. The ex-Lionhead ragtag group of developers is a third party studio and could make titles for any system.
However, rumors are pouring in that Sony, enjoying the commercial and critical reception of MM's LittleBigPlanet, has just offered them an exclusive 3 game contract and the guys over at Media Molecule have graciously accepted....

We always knew that there was a possibility of levels getting deleted for copyright reasons in LittleBigPlanet, this has unfortunately come true. Levels such as the popular God of War Demon Skull and various Mario tributes are being banished from LittleBigPlanet's servers. This would be understandable, however, even if your level doesn't infringe copyright it may still be deleted, a level named "Failure to launch" was deleted due to it sharing the same name as a movie, even though it had nothing to do with it....
