Manhunt Gets Mature Rating

The enormous controvery between the ESRB and Rockstar Games is finally over, after the decision by the ESRB today to re-rate Manhunt 2 as "Mature" rather than the previous "Adult only" rating. Sony and Nintendo both refused to allow Manhunt 2 on their consoles following the Adult Only rating in June. Since then Rockstar has made modifications to the game, to try and achieve the Mature rating.

Same Houser, founder of Rockstar games, stated, "Manhunt 2 is important to us, and we're glad it can finally be appreciated as a gaming experience." He went on to state, "We love the horror genre. Manhunt 2 is a powerful piece of interactive story telling that is a unique video game experience. We think horror fans will love it."

Manhunt 2 is back on track for their October 31, 2007 release.
