Metal Gear Online Competition

In a recent Metal Gear Monday post, the Konami team said they were planing something special for the top players of the beta(some what similar of what happened with the Warhawk Beta). As the beta comes to an end this weekend with an unfortunate sigh, Konami has announced some good news.

"A select number of top clans will receive an invite to play the MGO Beta competitively against the Konami team. The invites [went out yesterday] (Wednesday May 7, 2008) through tomorrow morning, via the MGO Beta in-game mail system, to the selected clan leaders. If you receive an invite, Konami will communicate with you regarding your entry status, steps to participate, and scheduling of the match should your clan be selected. Invites will be coming from me personally, my character, named simply, “Brandon”. Do not communicate with or provide any information to anyone else who may claim to be representing Konami."

The Matches will take place tonight at 7pm PST. If you have been selected you will be given a time slot in which the games will take place against the Konami team. The games will be 5 on 5 matches, so if your clan has more then 5 members you will have chose carefully who you want to use.
