Metal Gears Solid 4 targets Q2 worldwide launch
Metal Gear Solid 4 is now finished and ready to play through from start to finish, with a simultaneous worldwide Q2 release on the schedule according to Ryan Payton, assistant producer.
It has also been confirmed that MGS4 will ship with a Metal Gear Online starter pack, and is entering the final bug testing stage.
"Mr. Kojima of all people is really committed to Q2 2008 because he really hates to disappoint people, and I know he is embarrassed by what happened with the 2007 slip into 2008," said Payton, who went on to add that the majority of the development team has now completed its work on the title, even if some late features may still be added to the game.
Konami is also gearing up for a Gears Of War style advertising campaign for the title, which will commence in the next few weeks and months.
This is a substantial piece of news for European and American gamers, as it finally lays to rest any debate about the games further delayed rumours and speculatitive reports.
