God Of War: Chains Of Olympus developer Ready At Dawn told Next-Gen it expects the PS3 will likely be top dog in the console race.
“I think PS3 will win this generation when all is said and done,” said the company’s President, Didier Malenfant. “What I’m more curious about is the next one really. Microsoft made a dent this time around and can stand to finally get the upper hand it they stick it out and/or if Sony stays complacent like they did early on in this generation. That’s where the real fight is going to be in my opinion”.
“As for Nintendo, they’re not targeting the same market so it’s not really comparable” he added, with Okami out on the Wii in April. His message does seem to have a point, doesn’t it? Microsoft was the first to enter this generation of gaming hardware and in doing so has a user base of around 20 million, but with the recent success of Blu-ray (or fall of HD DVD – however you choose to look at it) and some upcoming killer titles including Metal Gear Solid 4 and LittleBigPlanet, the PS3 is on top form at the moment, outselling the X360 in February.
