Sega to launch a PSP beater in 2009 - UPDATE

According to the website www.reghardware.co.uk , SEGA will move back into the hardware market next year with SEGA Vision. SEGA Vision will be a handheld multimedia device which could possibly rival Sony's own PlayStation Portable. SEGA Vision will allow users to Play games, watch live TV, play back MP3 files and many more functions including a built in camera.

Here is a video showing the SEGA Vision.

Update - SEGA USA have confirmed that SEGA Vision is not a rival to Sony's PlayStation Portable as previously thought. The SEGA Vision is foremost a MP4 player however it does support Java based games.

Tom: This is hardly going to rival the PSP, and seeing as television is going all digital the TV tuner will be completely worthless anyway. This will be nothing but an expensive Ipod.
