Sony leads Konami to a 46% net income increase in Q1

Konami released its quarter 1 2008 results today and is reporting a massive 46% increase. Konami sold the most titles on the PS3 system, making up 57% of the publishers total software sales. Metal Gear Solid 4 alone shipped almost 4 million copies world wide. Even in the portable front, the Sony PSP is Konami's leading platform, with 9.5% of its total software being accounted to it. Altogether, Sony sold 82.8% of its software to Sony systems. The only other really notable title was Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer game, selling about 1 million units across multiple platforms.
