Splatterhouse, a classic action-combat arcade title launched back in 1988, is set to make a surprise comeback on next-generation consoles next year, according to Namco Bandai.
The game, which boasts a story crafted by Judge Dredd comic book writer, Gordon Rennie, follows the adventures of Rick, as he searches a mansion for his kidnapped girlfriend. Although, Rick clearly hasn't watched any movies emphasizing the fact that picking up evil looking masks and wearing them can turn you into a bloodthirsty killing machine! Because, well, that's what happens to our friend Rick!
Most interestingly, the new 'death' system is surely not an advertisement to anti-videogame protesters, as you'll literally witness Rick being torn to pieces if you are to die....
