TGS: PSP Room

Hot out of Tokyo Game Show is Sony's announcement of a new 3D socializing environment for the PSP. Room for the PSP sounds a lot like Home for the PS3. It's a socializing platform where gamers can communicate with each other with cartoon avatars that can be launched directly from the XMB in the upcoming firmware update. Finally, the PSP is going to get some home console feature treatment. This is what we've been waiting for--an actual community upgrade to the PSP. Forget the actual Room thing, we're just excited that this is probably going to bring along a proper friends list and chat capabilities. Here's to hoping that Room isn't just a 3D space where everyone ignores each other, except girls and fake girls.
