White Knight Chronicles, the brand new PS3 exclusive from RPG developer Level-5, has sold approximately 278,000 within 10 days. Last week the game also managed to boost PlayStation 3 console sales significantly to 60,000 units (from 46,000 the week before), the biggest sales boost since Metal Gear Solid 4 was released in June.
Akihiro Hino, CEO of Level-5, has also officially announced, in light of White Knight's success, that the title will definitely be making it's way to the US....

White Knight Chronicles, the latest Role-Playing game from Level-5, seems to have lived up to the hype. Reports are coming in that the first shipment of the game has been completely sold out on the first day, even to wholesalers, which amounts to approximately 132,000 copies. The game does not seem to have been hindered by the 29/40 score assigned to it by Famitsu earlier in the month.
Pre-orders for the game were abnormally low before release, so this high sell-through rate was a lot higher than anticipated....

The movie that was announced earlier tonight has been launched. It isn't a trailer, but rather a 15 minute video tour of the Level-5 office with a sneak peek of some single player and online action. The movie really shows off the transition between fighting as the regular characters and then transforming into the White Knight to take on the colossal boss characters.

A 'new' White Knight Chronicles trailer will be out tonight. The trailer can be accessed from an unspecified website mentioned on the press pass from the Level 5 Tokyo Game Show conference. Whether this will be truly a new trailer, or one of the leaked ones from TGS in direct feed format is currently up in the air. Expect to see the video around 10 PM Pacific time in the US, so you'll have something else to watch besides the presidential election!

Earlier today, Japanese video game retailer Game-Star released some new info on Level-5's RPG, White Knight Chronicles. They revealed that the game would have over 100 hours of gameplay and some sort of online co-op aspect.
Dengeki, a Japanese gaming publication, delved deeper into the online aspects, revealing some more minor details. The online mode will have 3 parts: Live, Story, and Quest....

-Story should last 100 hours +
-Graphics will be at 1080P
-Dynamic battle system, allowing you to chose from the regular sized characters or transforming into the colossal white knight.

Update: Level 5 has just revealed its brand new lineup of videoagames for the next year at an exclusive behind closed door event in Tokyo, with titles spanning over all formats within the next 12 months.
Some of the most amazing visuals and gameplay screens were revealed at the conference, with several amazingly detailed games also being announced for the PSP, PS3, Wii and DS. Not only has Level 5 got a whole array of videogaming media lined up for 2009, it has als just revealed what looks like a brand new virtual peripheral, or some sort of plastic device that works alongside the PSN service to allow video, gaming and anime movie live streaming and download in partnership with Famitsu....
