LucasArts created classics like Monkey Island, Grim Fandango and many more in the mid-late 90s, but after they realized that milking Star Wars was all they needed to swim in money, the point-and-click adventure genre didn’t last long. Not many thought the genre could be brought back in the mid 2000s, let alone by Capcom of all people. Despite that, the interactive story elements of the Ace Attorney series turned out to be just the thing for the Nintendo DS’s more casual audience.
